The proposed program is a program to enable and inviting, designed to improve leadership skills, advocacy, and civic participation, guidance and direction for 600 girls (from 18-2 years), through a series of awareness meetings and workshops, participatory and experiential, and briefings. The ultimate goal is to create the first and second row of young women leaders who will work as change agents within their communities for civic participation and good governance practices.
The program consists of two main components: the first component focuses on the acquisition of skills and behaviors through training program duration of 24 months based on the trainee addresses the leadership skills, advocacy and lobbying. The program includes training topics such as information and communication technology, English as a Foreign Language, communication skills, advocacy and lobbying, decision making, volunteering, facilitation and negotiation, as well as gender mainstreaming, women’s rights and democratic principles. The program will teach girls the skills of administrative and regulatory background, such as program design, financial management and reporting, and management of financial resources and these not only benefits the target groups, but help to build capacity and sustainability of NGOs in turn.
The second component will provide opportunities for community posts for the application of skills gained to real life situations in the private sectors of society, public and civil. Will choose the posts and Stqmn design their initiatives for, which could include raising awareness on topics political and social reform, participation in training programs, volunteering in the non-governmental organizations, the implementation of projects to mobilize community, facilitating seminars social dialogue on issues of democratic reform, and training and mentoring other girls. There are opportunities for the implementation of many other initiatives appropriate, particularly those related to improving political awareness and participation of girls, can be included in the program.
During the second year, the steering committee will choose the program non-governmental organization and one from each country based on its performance, and will implement a regional workshop on best practices. Guided by the results of this workshop, other non-governmental organizations in each country to improve its performance. By the end of the program, will guide the development of best practices of each country.
